Some Blogging News!

Recently, I decided to make some changes to the blog. I know I’ve been basically out of the blogging game for almost 3 years now. I had maybe one or two posts in 2019 and just two posts so far this year. So I’ve been WAY away from the book blogging scene.

I’m going to try to jump back into it since I really do enjoy the book blogging community, even with its flaws. I mainly stepped away because it was getting hard to keep up alongside my job and blogging at my lifestyle blog (which I haven’t really kept up that much either). Blogging takes so much time and energy as many of you know so it just kept being pushed to the back burner for me.

This year I really want to try and participate in things that I love to do in order to add more balance back into my life. One of the things I love to do is blog! I loved my book blog and I want to jump back into that!

With that being said, I’ve made the decision to create a new blog specifically for all the romance books I read – Seduced in the Stacks. I’ve spent a lot of time reading romance over the last two years and want a separate space to blog about them since romance books don’t always jive alongside the latest Middle Grade I picked up to keep up with the genre for my job (& my enjoyment!).

I also decided to create a new blog for my romance reads because of all the sub-genres within romance. This way I can kind of keep it from being too overwhelming on here in terms of all the sub-genres and what not.

I’ll still be on social media on all my regular accounts, but I’m actually thinking of changing my socials to NicoleLynnReads since I’ll be using my IG and Twitter for both blogs. Let me know your thoughts on this!

One other change I’ve made: I’ve decided to invest in Nose Graze’s Ultimate Book Blogger plugin for both of my book blogs. I’ve since gone through all my previous book reviews and updated them with this plug-in so that it’s easier to find my reviews by genre, title, author and rating. Some of my older posts lost their photos from my transition a while ago to a self-hosted site. This means I still have to go back through and add some updated photos. BUT all the reviews should be fine, albeit a bit longer now with some repeated info.
