Mini Review: Praise by Sara Cate I finished this book back in June & am still working my way through this series. I cannot believe we already have the second gen books coming out, but I’m hoping to catch up on 2026! -Review: Ugh this was a delicious read. I loved the introduction to certain kinks and the healthy representation of the dom/sub relationship being created here. Cate does such a good job of showcasing this through the eyes of a newbie in that world as well as through the eyes of a more experienced hero teaching/exposing the newbie. I loved watching Charlie blossom as she grew more confident in herself and through her exploration of herself.! But I’d remiss if I didn’t say I also enjoyed seeing Emerson grow as well. Overall this story was filled not just was spice and tension and all the fun bits, but also filled with representation of self-growth and confidence and also healing for both of these characters. Overall 5 stars for Miss cate. Not typing well since I’m tired and may remember more later but I’m hopping into book 2 of this series now 😊#minibookreview #bookreview #salaciousplayersclub #saracatebooks #romancebookrecs

Absolutely loved this series by Nikki St. Crowe! Today’s review is of season 1! These were originally published as a serial before being bound into novella size books/collections. Once I realized they were bound I bought hard copies of them all because I enjoyed the story so much! Below is my quick review of season 1 😊Review: I first read this through kindle novella but when I realized it was being grouped into ebooks I just waited for the ebook episode collections. I only ended up reading the first two seasons back in 2022 and now that I own all of them in paperback I’m trying to read the whole series/seasons to completion. This first season was so fun! Absolutely loved the tension of Jess and Bran. And that first scene of them in the coffee shop together - absolutely loved that was one of the first times we got to see them interact - iykyk!! But seriously - super enjoyed the tension between these two and man does Bran have me fanning myself - literally cannot get enough of the hot vampire. But besides the spice and hot MMC - there is some mystery around Jess and this world. I honestly think season one is just the tip of the iceberg for what St. Crowe has in store for us with this story & I’m so here for the ride!! Have you read this series yet?? Read The Beast by Jenika Snow in one sitting! This novella was so good! I’m such a fan of fairytale retellings - add in a monster romance flavor with some spice and I am here 👏 for 👏 it 👏! I adored the tension between Belle and the Beast! I loved his obsession with her and I loved their ending! Cannot wait to read book 2 in the series! Speaking of the series: Jenika Snow currently has a kickstarter happening for a special edition omnibus of the series! I already pledged because I have to have it lol but if spicy fairytale retellings are your jam then I definitely recommend you checking out this series and the kickstarter!!
